Cutting-Edge Orthodontic Options

Our patients at Orthodontic Associates can choose between various comfortable and convenient treatment options to straighten their smiles.

Metal braces are the most common orthodontic treatment throughout the Tampa Bay area, but you have other options, too.

After your first consultation exam with Dr. Adam, we will discuss which treatment would be right for you based on your unique needs and smile goals.

Modern Technology

Cone-beam computed tomography systems (CBCT) are a type of traditional computed tomography (CT)systems.

The CBCT system we use at Orthodontic Associates rotates around your head to capture data using a cone-shaped X-ray beam.

A single CBCT scan can show potential dental issues like:

  • Abnormal growths
  • Bone loss
  • Facial fractures
  • Irregularities of the temporomandibular joint
  • Periodontal infections
  • Problems with the tooth roots or dental pulp
  • Tooth decay

Fixed Appliances Vs. Removable Appliances

At Orthodontic Associates, we believe you should be fully educated about your treatment.

It’s helpful for patients around the Tampa Bay area to understand the difference between fixed and removable appliances.

Dr. Adam attaches fixed appliances, like braces, to your teeth and won’t take them off until you complete your treatment at Orthodontic Associates.

If Dr. Adam prescribes a removable clear aligner system like Invisalign, you’ll wear the trays most of the day, but you can take the trays out of your mouth whenever you’d like to.

Besides the noticeable differences, we use may use these treatments differently. Dr. Adam generally uses clear aligners to treat mild to moderate orthodontic issues and fixed appliances for more severe problems.
